The red ring of death. Commonly associated with pain, misery, anger etc. Well no more! We’re here today to bring you 5 reasons why the RROD should actually bring warmth and happiness to every gamers heart.
1. Keeps you on your toes
The RROD brings an exciting edge to every single game you will ever play on your 360. You simply never really know how your games are going to turn out, multiple endings right?
2. Publicity
Just think of all the publicity that the RROD has generated for Microsoft. It’s been in the papers, has been pasted on almost every gaming/tech site there is and is constantly brought up in forums as a tool of hate. Now, no publicity is bad publicity right?
3. Steeling Bill’s Money
Microsoft have spent billions reparing the millions of broken consoles that arrive at their doors everyday. Just think, that’s money straight from Bill’s pocket and put straight back into the economy. It’s certain that whole repair centers have been set up dealing with the xbox and its issues, creating jobs for those poor folk who may other wise not have one.
4. Creates Happy Familys
Scenario; meet Dave. Dave has 80,000 gamer points, games 16 hours a day, stopping only for toilet breaks and the odd energy drink. His parents are besides themseleves with worry and fear for their Son’s health. Suddenly, one day while dave is playing Halo 3, owning some UbEr Nubs, his screen flashes a strange checkered colour and to his disbelief he soon realises he has the dreaded RROD. After phoning support and calling almost every microsoft employee a "Faggot Nub" he eventually comes to realise that he really is going to have to wait at least 2 weeks for his beloved console to return. With nothing else to do, Dave soon learns how to communicate again, this time without the use of a microphone. He quickly learns that there is more to life than gaming, and slowly but surely his family life resumes to a normal, loving bond. Dave lived happily ever after. Then microsoft returned his console.
5. DIY
The RROD is your chance to prove yourself as a real man. Only noobs send their consoles to microsoft. You’re above the rest remember, grab your tool box and fix it yourself. I’d recommend this.
So next time you come across a fanboy simply tell them, "Yeh but...we have RROD!!!".
